General Customer Update, Regarding Coronavirus

Monday, April 6, 2020, 12:00pm EDT

To our valued customers,

The coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and global case numbers are still rising. The situation is serious and requires the utmost attention to preventive protective measures, because the health of our employees is our top priority. The far-reaching measures taken in many countries confront us with major challenges. Border controls, transport restrictions for goods, school and daycare closures, as well as selective restrictive regulations which temporarily only allow the production and delivery of medical technology products; all this describes the daily pressure to act and make decisions. Currently the material supply is guaranteed. At the production sites, it is a daily challenge for employees to organize themselves, especially due to the general public restrictions. We also notice this in the availability of production capacities. Nevertheless, we have managed to maintain the delivery situation so far and we are doing everything to ensure this in future weeks as well. We have already taken a number of special actions to achieve this. However, there are still no signs of a turnaround; the situation remains tense. Therefore, we cannot completely exclude interruptions in the future.

Our sales representatives worldwide are still available to answer your questions about order processing and status. Most of our sales teams are now working from home and can be reached by e-mail and telephone. In addition, we will continue to provide updates to our customers online, here on this page, as well as on

We are currently experiencing strong growth in incoming orders for medical technology products, especially for drive systems for respirators, automatic sample analysis and laboratory systems, and infrared cameras for temperature control. Of course we would like to make our contribution to the medical care to limit and resolve the coronavirus pandemic. For this reason, all FAULHABER GROUP production sites continue to work hard to fulfill all customer orders, while maintaining the maximum possible protective measures.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your personal contact person from our sales department, or you can submit a contact form on our website.

Thank you,

Mr. Gert Frech-Walter

To our valued customers,

The outbreak of the corona virus continues to spread rapidly and the unpredictable effects on the global economy are compounding day to day. We at FAULHABER MICROMO continue to monitor the situation closely with our business locations worldwide and in close cooperation with our global supply chain.

As of today, our global supply chain remains active and stable. We currently do not foresee delays due to missing parts or supply chain disruptions. Of course this situation can change rapidly so we are proactively securing supplies of critical components to buffer any delivery disturbances as much as possible. In recent years, Faulhaber has expanded the vertical integration of our supply chain, which is proving to be helpful in this challenging time frame we find ourselves in. We have implemented a business continuity plan in each of our main production and assembly locations in order to mitigate the risks of a production stoppage or delay due to personnel availability.

As part of an international group of companies, we must also monitor and react to disturbances to our global logistics. We are taking proactive steps to ensure that we can continue to make shipments on time. As of today, we have been able to adapt to the evolving challenges on the logistics front. However, given the turbulent nature of the current situation, we cannot rule out delays in delivery due to drastic changes in international logistical capacity or to shipping rules and regulations regarding the corona virus outbreak. Air shipment capacity between Europe and the US, is of considerable concern at the moment, and we are taking all steps possible to secure continuous shipments in this channel.

In the area of our service, support, and contact with your company, we have implemented certain internal preventative measures to limit the risk of infection to our employees and the spread of infection to our customers and suppliers. We have limited business travel to emergencies only. This may mean that your Faulhaber support contact will be working remotely, or that an onsite visit may be postponed or cancelled in favor of digital communication. We do not expect these internal changes to have any negative impact to our customer service levels, however please excuse any delays in our responsiveness that may occur.

We will continue to provide updates to you via this page on our website, and through email correspondence, as this troubling situation develops. We wish you all continued health and safety and a speedy end to this global crisis.

Best regards,

Karl Faulhaber
