Position Opening: Quality Assurance Manager

MICROMO is now seeking potential candidates for an open position in the QA Manager role.

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the overall performance and operation of the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring that the quality system is in accordance with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements. Supervises the employees in Quality Assurance, Inspection, and Calibrations Departments to ensure proper work flow and adherence to company policies and procedures. Coordinates with other departments in a team approach to resolve quality related issues.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the operation of the Quality Assurance Department, including Inspections and Calibration, to ensure that operations run effectively to meet customer needs.
  • Implements and maintains the Quality System in accordance with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements.
  • As the Department Head:
    • Supervises department personnel.
    • Ensures department staff adheres to all company policies and procedures.
    • Administers employee performance and salary appraisals.
    • Establishes training needs for department.
    • Coordinates work flow of department.
    • Responsible for hiring and firing of employees.
  • Serves as a member of the Management Review Committee and is responsible for the generation and presentation of the quarterly meetings.
  • Administers the internal audit system.
  • Administers the Corrective/Preventative Action program.
  • Coordinates with other departments to resolve issues concerning rejected/defective products.
  • Monitors the Approved Vendor List to provide feedback to current vendors, add new vendors when required, and remove vendors when required in accordance with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of the MICROMO quality system and ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of production and quality assurance operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality System. Experience working in ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Experience in Auditing, Corrective/Preventative Action and Non-Conforming Product Controls/Disposition.
  • Statistical analytical skills.
  • Excellent reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to remain flexible and work effectively with employees at all levels or the organization.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision as well as make effective decisions in a quick manner.
  • Strong computer skills of Microsoft Office programs/ERP Systems.

Bachelors Degree required and minimum of three (3) years of related experience required. Candidates must have permanent US work authorization and must reside locally to work in the Tampa Bay/ St Petersburg, Florida area. Relocation will not be offered.
