MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announces the addition of a plastic planetary gearbox with the release of the Series 13A. The gearbox weighs a mere 6 grams while providing a maximum continuous torque of 0.18 Nm with intermittent torque up to 0.22 Nm. The 13A has a diameter of 13 mm and ranges in length from 18.8 mm to 28.4 mm. The planetary gearbox comes with 10 standard ratios for speed reduction or torque multiplication. The planetary gearbox is available with sintered sleeve, ceramic, and ball bearings. The gearbox is equipped with standard drilled holes on the drive side for easy mounting.
The Series 13A Precision Planetary Gearbox can be combined with a motor and encoder for a complete miniature DC drive system. The gearbox can be used with the Faulhaber Series 1224, 1319, 1331, and 1336 coreless DC motors The motor and gearbox can be combined with magnetic or optical encoders to allow for precise control of speed and direction of rotation as well as the positioning of the drive shaft.
The series 13A is immediately available in ratios of 16:1, 50:1, 64:1, 158:1, 201:1, 256:1, 497:1, 632:1, 805:1, and 1024:1 with sintered sleeve, ceramic bearings, or ball bearings from stock.
