Interface Components Incorrect wiring leads to frustrations and delays. For faster prototyping with fewer wiring errors, consider using custom-made adapters and cables. Many of the adapters offered connect various encoders to several of the different controllers using the existing connectors supplied with the motor and encoder assembly. A multiplexer board allows several RS232 controllers to communicate on an RS232 bus. Also offered are a starter kit and an RS232 interface board specifically for the 3564 motor.
Line Transceiver The LT-1 transceiver converts single-ended signals to differential signals and vice-versa allowing single-ended signals (such as encoder signal, Hall sensors, etc.) to be transmitted up to 4,000 feet.
RS232 to RS485 Converter The MVP2001CONV converts from RS232 to RS485 and back. This allows the use of serial communication ports on a personal computer to communicate with an RS485 bus. This also allows drives configured for RS232 to communicate with an RS485 bus.
