MICROMO’s new 22 mm BX4 Series from Faulhaber is finalist in Best New Products Award
MICROMO's new 22mm Brushless DC Servomotor with integrated motion controller has been named a finalist in the prestigious Design News Golden Mousetrap Best New Products Awards for 2011 in the Motors and Mechanical Motion Devices Category.
According to David Greenfield, the Design News Editorial Director, the “products highlighted in this year's Golden Mousetrap winners and finalists clearly demonstrate both cutting-edge design ideas and the practical evolution of technologies for systems and product design engineers. Design News congratulates all the engineers and their companies who have been recognized with the Golden Mousetrap Award, and we are grateful for their contribution to this year's competition.”
MICROMO’s series 2232 / 2250...BX4 CSD/CCD from Faulhaber is a compact drive with an integrated motion controller. This new series combines the advantages of the BX4 four pole brushless technology with a single-axis motion controller. High torque, compact slotless design with no cogging torque and robust construction without the use of adhesives make this new series useful for complex applications such as robotics, automation, medical and laboratory technology, specialty machinery and aerospace.
The 22 mm brushless dc motor with an integrated motion controller has a design based on the concept of Faulhaber Motion Control and four pole brushless dc servo motor technology. Interface technology: RS 232 / CAN, additional length to the motor 18 mm, configurable settings in combination with Motion Manager 4.5, customer specific firmware by request, separate power supply for motor and electronics optionally available, integrated current limiting (motor protection), brushless dc-servomotors and 4 pole design.
For more than two decades, the Design News Awards Program has recognized engineering innovation and creativity in product design. This year, Golden Mousetrap awards were given in four major categories: Electronics & Test, Automation & Control, Design Tools: Hardware & Software, and Materials & Assembly.
