Ø38mm Precision Planetary Gearbox

Powerful, Efficient Precision Gearbox with Long-Life
MICROMO  announces the addition of an all metal planetary gearbox with the release of the Series 38A. The 38A has a diameter of 38 mm and ranges in length from 42 mm to 80 mm. The planetary gearbox comes with 19 standard ratios for speed reduction or torque multiplication. Maximum continuous torque is 20 Nm with intermittent torque up to 40 Nm. The gearbox efficiency ranges from 90% to 96%. The recommended input speed for maximum life is 4,500 rpm with a maximum input speed of 18,000 rpm. The gearbox has a 30,000 hour design life with an operating temperature range of -30º to 120ºC.     
The Series 38A Precision Planetary Gearbox can be combined with a motor and encoder for a complete miniature DC drive system. The gearbox can be used with the Faulhaber Series 3257, 3557, and 3863 coreless DC motors or the Faulhaber Series 3564 and 4490 brushless DC motors. The motor and gearbox can be combined with magnetic or optical encoders to allow for precise control of speed and direction of rotation as well as the positioning of the drive shaft.
