Surgical Precision- VikY Systems
 One of the best examples of particularly gentle medical interventions is minimally invasive surgery. This requires small-sized openings into the body, through the navel, for example, rather than large incisions. Of course, these operating methods call for specialist equipment. As all the components used need to be as compact as possible, microdrives are the perfect solution for the medical actuator systems deployed in this field. They produce high performance from very low volumes, are very easy to control and adaptable to all medical standards, making them perfect for extending the fingertip sensitivity of the operator. Minimally invasive surgery represents a significant improvement for patients. However, the “operating tools” used do need to meet exacting requirements in terms of flexibility, reliability and ergonomics. French company EndoControl from La Tronche near Grenoble has developed the new ViKY system (Vision Control for endoscopY), which is tailored to meet exactly these everyday medical requirements.

3272 CR DC Micro Motor from FAULHABER
 MICROMO is pleased to present the 3272 CR DC Micro Motor from FAULHABER. Setting new standards, the 3272 CR offers graphite commutation and premium materials produced with cutting-edge process technologies. The robust and durable drive provides torque of up to 120 mNm, while measuring merely 32 mm in diameter and 72 mm in length.
The advanced System FAULHABER ironless stator coil, which is integral to the overall design, is a key component of the 3272 CR’s exceptional performance. At a nominal voltage of between 12 volts and 48 volts, it delivers high torque and also ensures that the slope of the n/M curve remains extremely flat. At the same time, the total weight of the DC micro motor is only 312 grams (11ounces).
